Usher was shaken and stirred by Victoria Martini. The R&B singer was strolling up Lafayette St. in Soho Saturday when he spotted the German model-turned-singer outside Lair nightclub — and stopped cold. The snake-hipped heartthrob decided he just had to take a few photos with the bodacious blond, who was shooting a music video at the nightspot. Although the production featured a bevy of beauties, our source tells us that Usher only had eyes for the 5-feet-11 German dazzler. The source says Usher offered Martini some career advice before telling her, "I'll be seeing you soon I am sure." Usher's rep did not get back to us before deadline.

Usher's OMG Tour is his attempt to raise his status from Concert Entertainer to Concert Icon. "Easily Done" if you watched any parts of the tour. Many of his fans will easily agree after viewing his tour performance.
“The overarching impression that I’d like to leave is that, you know, this guy is really stepping it up to a level where, you know, people can hopefully compare him to people like Michael Jackson, and great entertainers of the past,” Usher said.
Usher delivered a show that full of his catalogue of hits that included his latest releases from Raymond v. Raymond and Versus.
“I’ve put the time into creating an incredible show, but also I give it all,” he said. “I leave it on the stage. I give you the energy. I basically tear myself apart emotionally, energetically, you know, connecting with you and making sure that you enjoy this moment and leave saying ‘OMG, Oh My God.’”
For fans in the audience, they saw a fantastic performance that turned the shows into a spectacle.
“The look of the tour, it’s a little futuristic but, you know, enough to capture your attention,” Usher said. “Live performance has always been my thing. It’s my purpose to master and capture the moment every time I have you connected. For me, you know, I wanted to make sure that it was state of the art.”
If anything, the dancing in the tour was art in itself. No one dances like Usher and his back-up dancers just added to his fantastic performances.
“Oh, man, dancing is definitely a part of the tour,” Usher said. “You can’t have me without that ingredient. I wanted to stick to some of the choreography that you’ve seen in the videos. And for the songs that never had a video, you know, introduce a new style, a new energy.
“Whenever there are segues, I’ll also use music to transition us from one thing to the next,” he said. “I wanted to make you feel as though you were watching a movie, watching a live movie experience. I’m like a superhero in this show and I do all of my own stunts.”
If you don't believe he is becoming the Superhero of R&B, just look at his 6 full length CD's and video of his past concert tours. The man will blow you away and its no wonder he is considered one of musics most magnetic and spectacular live performers.
Usher began his career when he was still in his teens. He was mentored by no less than the late Michael Jackson and groomed for stardom in every way. Usher has enjoyed a steady rise in popularity since he arrived on the international scene with his 1994 self-titled CD, when he was just 16 years old. Imagine that, 16.
Usher, though, would only say he considers both Here I Stand and Raymond v Raymond/Versus to be personal and honest statements.
“I think that every album that I make is intended to give you a different facet of my personality and also speak to what I feel, where I am, and what my interpretation of art is at that time,” he said. “For every album, there is a different experience, you know, one not being greater than the other, but it all being intertwined as an incredible story in time. When I stop, I hope to be able to look back at all of my albums put together and feel as though I’m looking at an autobiographical musical experience.
“Those specific songs will speak to you,” Usher said. “If you’re married, then ‘Here I Stand’ is going to speaking to you a bit more. If you’re out having a great time and partying, you know, and living the single life and enjoying the experience of being available, you’re going to love (the song) ‘OMG,’ you know, you’re going to love “Raymond v Raymond.’ So, you know, there’s a little bit of something for everybody.”
Now that he is still a young man of 32, Ushers ambitions are pushing him beyond his recording and touring career. He has hinted in recent interviews (including one last year in the New York Times) that his days as a touring live performer may be over by the time he hits his 40s. Looking to the future, he is now part owner of the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers, and an actor who has appeared in movies such as She’s All That and Texas Rangers. He has his own line of fragrances.
Usher is also into developing the careers of young artists, especially the hugely popular teen pop/R&B sensation from Canada Justin Bieber, who’s signed to US Records, Ushers own record label.
Even though Usher stresses in interviews that he is not planning on leaving the concert stage anytime soon, he obviously is looking towards the future with his eye on having multiple pursuits.
“I’ll be able to still do that (perform live) until I’m 50,” Usher said, a statement that is sure to reassure his fans. “My point is, I would also choose to do other things, and other aspects of business that I’d like to be in, (things) I’d like to venture (in). You know, as I introduce talent, as I develop talent, I would never want to feel as though that’s my only option.
“So at 50, you know, I hope that all the business that I’ve built allow me to, you know, go and hit the stage at my discretion,” he said. “I want to be able to have the ability to do that, but I also want to be mindful of all the other things that I’ve done.”
